Why Are Glenn Beck & Rush Limbaugh Such Sore Losers?

The day after President Barack Obama gave his speech about the death of Osama Bin Laden, there was a poll conducted, the results of which showed that Obama's approval ratings had jumped 9 points since the day before.  Not that I am a believer that approval numbers mean much, but that's what the poll showed.

Later that day, on his show on Foxnews, host Glenn Beck said "even a shoe would have seen his approval ratings increase as a result of killing Bin Laden."

George W. Bush had 8 years to find Bin Laden, and honestly never really came very close to doing so.  But Beck says that anyone could have found him.  Later in the same day, conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh said that it was because of former President Bush that Obama was even able to track down and kill Bin Laden.  Limbaugh said that it was the tactics used to interrogate the prime suspects that lead to the Seal Team 6 finding the house in Abbottabad, Pakistan, inferring that the interrogation tactics, which have been considered torture, were just in getting the information needed.

Why, instead of turning this immediately into a partisan political opportunity, doesn't the conservative media congratulate the president on finding the world's most wanted man for the last 10 years?  Please feel free to comment.

  1. Not to mention that the torture didn't actually get the information (it is what led us to false information of WMDs in Iraq) but they got the lead based on information that they wouldn't give up.
